Born from the DNA of the Matera 48, the M40 shows few design constraints of being the smaller sister. In fact the benefits of the carbon/ foam lightweight construction, deep dagger boards and low aspect rudders further enhance the easy sailing characteristics of this performance cruising catamaran.

On offer as a custom build, the M40 offers tiller steering with full forward visibility, plus the option of diesel engines or retractable outboard motors as installed in the M40 ‘Aventador’.

A well proven accommodation layout including a forward facing galley with all necessary equipment for longer term cruising, four double berths, two heads, one with shower and a perfectly sized saloon area with ‘L’ shaped sittee and dining area.

To Port the navigation station and instrument area flowing directly into the expansive cockpit area, this being further enhanced by the carbon fold down deck area when the tender is launched.

Matera Yachts sources componentry from the best in local and international suppliers, for example ‘Solbain Italy’ who provide the beautiful low profile solar panels and Victron inverter which add some 1.5kw per hour peak output into the battery system.

As the builder, Matera Yachts willingly offer flexibility within the design and build programme and are therefore open to discuss areas of customisation ensuring that you, the client receive something pretty special.

And bugger the cliches. I’d say, ‘Simply the best’ ”
